Psychiatric Symptoms in the Classroom

Debra Koss, MD, a board certified child and adolescent psychiatrist with more than 25 years clinical experience, looks forward to meeting with parents of children in grades K through 12 to discuss the basics of children’s mental health. Dr. Koss will provide an overview of some of the more common childhood disorders, such as depression, anxiety, autism and ADHD, and will describe the impact of symptoms on classroom learning. Dr. Koss will also review the importance of early intervention and treatment of childhood psychiatric disorders and will offer tips for accessing professional care.
