Responding to the National Emergency in Child and Adolescent Mental Health: A Call to Action

Debra Koss, MD, DFAACAP, DFAPA, will present at Grand Rounds at Children’s National Hospital. Dr. Koss will describe the importance of behavioral health professionals engagement in mental health advocacy in response to the national emergency in children’s mental health.

Participants will:

• Describe the skills needed to effectively communicate with legislators
• Discuss methods to establish coalitions of mental health advocates
• List three mental health legislative advocacy priorities
• Apply new knowledge and skills to support your participation in a grassroots advocacy initiative
